Animation fans and those who love The Simpsons were in for some treat last Sunday. That’s because The Simpsons paid tribute to animator Hayao Miyazaki in their recent episode that aired last Sunday, January 12. As Erik Adler posted on men’s fashion and lifestyle website EveryGuyed:

The Simpsons pay tribute to Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki, director of Studio Ghibli classics such as My Neighbor Totoro and Princess Mononoke in this short intro clip. This past September, the 73-year-old animation icon announced his retirement from film making.
